Image Restoration with Two-Dimensional Adaptive Filter Algorithms
Two-dimensional (TD) adaptive filtering is a technique that can be applied to many image, and signal processing applications. This paper extends the one-dimensional adaptive filter algorithms to TD structures and the novel TD adaptive filters are established. Based on this extension, the TD variable step-size normalized least mean squares (TD-VSS-NLMS), the TD-VSS affine projection algorithms (...
متن کاملTransfer Function Computation for Multidimensional Systems
A theoretically interesting technique is proposed for the determination of the coefficients of the determinantal polynomial and the coefficients of the adjoint polynomial matrix of a given n-D system, described by the Fornasini-Marchesini state space model. The proposed algorithms are based on the discrete Fourier transform (DFT), and easily can be implemented. An example is included to illustr...
متن کاملA Comparative Study of Exact Algorithms for the Two Dimensional Strip Packing Problem
In this paper we consider a two dimensional strip packing problem. The problem consists of packing a set of rectangular items in one strip of width W and infinite height. They must be packed without overlapping, parallel to the edge of the strip and we assume that the items are oriented, i.e. they cannot be rotated. To solve this problem, we use three exact methods: a branch and bound method, a...
متن کاملGeneralized Second-order Two-dimensional Systems: Computing the Transfer Function
In this paper the discrete Fourier transform is used to determine the coefficients of a transfer function of a new twodimensional model of second-order: x(i1 +2, i2 +2) = A0x(i1 +1, i2 +1)+A1x(i1 +1, i2)+A2x(i1, i2 +1). The algorithm is straightforward and has been implemented using the software package Matlab . Two step-by-step examples illustrating the application of the algorithm are presented.
متن کاملevaluation of a two dimensional infiltration function for irrigated furrows
abstract this study addresses two dimensional infiltration from irrigated furrows. the basic approach is to develop a two-dimensional infiltration as a combination of the corresponding one-dimensional vertical and an edge effect. the edge effect is the difference between the cumulative infiltration per unit of adjusted wetting perimeter and the corresponding one-dimensional infiltration. this a...
